Vanni’s Mech- Flex glasses can solve that while retaining comfort and style

[Malaysia, January 2012] Ill fitting glasses can cause headaches, soreness around the head or worse, put a new user off wearing glasses completely. Apart from the type of vision ailment, glasses have to be chosen according to the shape of face. Not just about aesthetics, different face shapes do require different sizes of temple fits and bending around the back of the head or ears.

Glasses often need to be adjusted due to wear and tear and occasionally because of change in face size. Opticians have to adjust hinges or springs in glasses to accommodate the changes. Lubrication of the hinges often results in a hardened hinge because of trapped dust mixed with lubricant during repair. This results in unnecessary pressure on the acupuncture points of the head, causing soreness and aches behind the ears. Vanni’s Mech- Flex range of glasses eliminates this common yet, serious problem with the use of a revolutionary hinge that does not require lubrication or any kind of maintenance.

This flexibility provides maximum comfort for different types and shapes of faces. Temples that are made from folded and cut steel blades allow for optimal fit on individual faces. Normal spring hinges are usually heavier than Mech- Flex hinges, which can also contribute to headaches because of the weight of the glasses.

Vanni’s glasses cater for the stylish with frames that couple shades of pastel with bright colours that come in matt, subtle satin or glossy finishes. The sensible can opt for single toned frames. The retrolicious can boogie in frames with tortoiseshell effects, and the bold can be captivated by frames in fluorescent colours. Be assured of individuality because no 2 frames are exactly alike. There is no repeat in colours due to the style of colouration and coating of the frames.

Mech- Flex designs also come in minimal Mech- Flex models that feature a very thin temple, a rimless model and a double-hinge version which maintains the chic, sleek Vanni look and a smaller Tribe model for children known as the VANNI tribe.

Vanni eyewear is also available in the following fun and trendy prescription ranges:

Happy Days – Created in true vintage American fashion, this range is inspired by the popular family sitcom back in the 70s and 80s. Acetate frames are available in Havana with lilac and turquoise inside the frame, or in bright colour combinations with contrasting finishes.

Icons of Italy – Vanni pays homage to its home of Italy by creating glasses in honour of Italian cities, the temples of the glasses featuring Turin and Milan skylines. This range comes about as a collaboration with the Icons of Italy design company who are renowned for incorporating the Italian city skylines to everyday objects. A plan to include more cities is in place.

The acetate frames have been screen printed to evoke the night view of the cities and are available in black, purple, Havana with bold, contrasting colours on the inside. Up to 4 designs for the prescription are planned.

Stratos – Boasting of the ‘Grand Prix Eyewear of the Year’ in 2009, this line is inspired by Jamaican ska. Acetate designs are available in a range of coloured strips in the form of pearly one coloured squares in various thicknesses, much like the ska beat, are coupled with single tones or Havana colours, in shiny or matt finishes. This is achieved by laminating 2 different acetate patterns together in a single frame.

UFO – The Ultra Fine Object is in actuality a hyper-thin eyewear series made of ultra fine metal. A modern day take on the 80s and 90s style of metallic eyewear, the UFO series has upped the game with colours and detailing. Suitable for both men and women, the series has cat profile models for the ladies, oblong shapes for the gentlemen. Vivid colours like violet and fuchsia are incorporated into frames that feature a thin eyebrow line and daytime lenses. Much like its namesake, the Ultra Fine Object has the same broadness and delicacy that would suit any type of face shape.
