Gail Warrior Honored by Dallas Historical Society

Gail Warrior, president and chief executive officer of Warrior Group, a DeSoto-based general contractor that serves public and private commercial construction customers, is the recipient of an Award for Excellence in the Business category, presented by the Dallas Historical Society. This annual awards program honors Dallas’ brightest civic, cultural and community leaders.

The Dallas Historical Society is the oldest historical organization in Dallas County committed to preserving the area's entire history. The organization established the Awards for Excellence in Community Service in 1981 to recognize community leaders in a variety of fields who have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Dallas and the surrounding area. Outstanding individuals are selected for this honor from nominations solicited from the Dallas community.

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Warrior Group, one of the largest woman/minority owned general contractor in the country, Gail Warrior is responsible for the development of the company’s strategic plan and corporate guiding principles. Warrior Group serves construction owners in the healthcare, higher education, K-12 and federal market segments. Warrior is also an industry innovator who has pioneered new methodologies in the construction industry, especially in her efforts to develop Permanent Modular Construction (PMC) as a commercially viable method to build quality, sustainable buildings in less time.

Committed to serving the community, Warrior founded and serves as Board Chair of the Heart of a Warrior Foundation, which provides educational enrichment programs during the summer for underserved children.

Warrior is also involved in a variety of civic and business organizations, including Young Presidents’ Organization North Texas, Dallas Citizens, Dallas Assembly, Dallas Regional Chamber, Entrepreneurs for North Texas, and Leadership Dallas.
