Banyan Air Service based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is in process of changing Hangar63 (Banyan’s Aviation Store) to Banyan Pilot Shop and TropicAero.com (Banyan’s On-line Store) to BanyanPilotShop.com.

“This is being done to take advantage of the strength of the Banyan brand. Customers tell us that having three different brands (Banyan, Hangar63 and TropicAero.com) is confusing. They also tell us that the Banyan name is well known and that it should be used to promote both the retail and on-line store,” says Nancy Bouvier, Banyan’s director of marketing. “This change will also make it easier for Banyan to market the retail store and on-line store to the aviation community. Customers will be able to shop in-store or at their convenience at BanyanPilotShop.com.”

BanyanPilotShop.com offers all the latest products such as iPad2 aviation bundles, Garmin 796, Lightspeed Zulu.2 and the Bose A20. In addition, the on-line store offers international shipping, accepts PayPal and most major credit cards. The on-line store features aviation electronics, pilot supplies, on-line specials, free catalog, bi-monthly e-newsletter, wish list and “tell a friend” feature. In addition, experts are available by phone to help customers with questions on ordering or product related questions.

The physical store is located at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and is one of the largest aviation stores in the country. The entryway features a compass rose inlaid in the floor, propellers jutting out from the wall and runway 08-26 lighting down the center of the store. In addition, a Gulfstream II fuselage offers the opportunity to fly using Microsoft’s Flight Simulator software. An electronics tower features portable electronics from Garmin, Apple, Fujitsu, Vertex, ICOM, Bendix King, Zaon Flight Systems, and ACR. Banyan Pilot Shop also offers training aids, a huge headset selection, basic pilot supplies and accessories, apparel, sunglasses, children’s items, and a collection of radio controlled aircraft and gift items. In addition, the store offers general aviation parts including Cessna, Piper and Beechcraft. For more information, visit banyanpilotshop.com.
