Virtual Internet voted as the MOST Reliable Hosting Company Site

London, UK, 03 November 2010: Virtual Internet, the UK leading specialist in cloud hosting, was ranked by Netcraft as the most reliable hosting company on the planet for the month of October.
Netcraft is an Internet services company based in Bath, England. It provides expert data research and analysis on many aspects of the Internet. These researches are entirely independent and shows reliable statistics data of the hosting company sites rank based on their performance.
According to the information provided on the Netcraft site, the ranking method chosen is the most authentic: “Netcraft measures and makes available the response times of around forty leading hosting providers' sites. The performance measurements are made at fifteen minute intervals from separate points around the internet, and averages are calculated over the immediately preceding 24 hour period. From a customer's point of view, the percentage of failed requests is more pertinent than outages on hosting companies' own sites, as this gives a pointer to reliability of routing, and this is why we choose to rank our table by fewest failed requests, rather than shortest periods of outage.”
Virtual Internet Managing Director Patrick McCarthy comments: “The fact that VI was ranked as the number one most reliable web hosting company is well deserved. We are constantly improving our infrastructure to ensure that our network and servers never go down and are highly responsive. This proves that Virtual Internet has one of the quickest networks around which is key to our customers having the best possible chance of ranking well in search engines like Google.”
“However, we won’t be resting on our laurels, perhaps some momentary pride, but keep focused on the job at hand and have this accolade repeated month on month.“
Virtual Internet has consistently appeared in the top 10 and it is fantastic to now be recognised as number 1.

Virtual Internet is a leading pan-European internet service provider for high availability managed hosting products. Since Virtual Internet was founded in 1995, its philosophy has been to work with world-class technology providers to deliver the best hosting services available, focusing heavily on availability and performance of its hosted websites and applications.
