EMS’ Medical Simulation Management Technology Helps Iowa Western Community College Become a Premier Nursing Education Facility
(Exton, Pa, September 20, 2010) - Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) has selected Education Management Solutions’ Arcadia Suite of products for its state of the art Nursing Center of Excellence. The college’s nursing students, as well as local EMTs and hospitals, will use the nearly 28,000 square foot training facility.
According to IWCC President Dr. Dan Kinney, the new Center will enable the college to significantly increase the number of nursing graduates. He firmly believes that Iowa Western will be one of the premier nursing education facilities in the country. The center includes four surgery tech classrooms, 10 simulator classroms, three debriefing rooms, an EMT room, and a medical assistant lab.
As the market leader in simulation management software, EMS is perfectly poised to assist IWCC achieve its goal of becoming a premiere facility, leading to greater recruitment and graduation of nursing students. The EMS technology will enable IWCC to streamline the administration of its center, provide simulation session recordings and debriefing, and the capability to store data. In addition, it will allow IWCC to evaluate learners’ skills and manage lab inventory.
