Mother's Day Event Celebrates Love Beyond Loss
Carnations & Coffee is a heartfelt event offering a space for individuals to come together and celebrate the profound impact their mothers have had on their lives. Whether their mothers are no longer with them or are unable to be physically present, attendees will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the remarkable women who shaped them into who they are today.
"We recognize that Mother's Day can be a bittersweet occasion for those who have lost their mothers, but we believe that their love and legacy deserve to be celebrated and remembered," says Latoya Brown, of Soil Sisters.
"Our event aims to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals can honor their mothers' memories and find solace in the company of others who understand their journey."
The event will feature becoming a plant mom to an exotic plant, learning about its care, and enjoying prizes and gardening chatter as a tribute to honor mothers and celebrate the enduring bonds of love. Attendees will have the opportunity to express their love and gratitude in the form of a plant they get to learn about and take care of.
"We want attendees to feel uplifted and empowered as they honor their mothers' legacies and celebrate the love that continues to live on in their hearts," adds Soil Sisters. "Our goal is to create a sense of community and connection, reminding participants that they are not alone in their grief and that their mothers' love is always with them."
In addition to the planting, the event will also feature prizes, gifts, and coffee. Attendees will have the opportunity to share stories, memories, and reflections in a supportive and compassionate environment.
"Whether attendees are celebrating their mothers' memories or simply seeking comfort and support during a difficult time, our event offers a safe and inclusive space for healing and connection," says Mrs. Brown.
