ATLAS Interactive revolutionizes Mobile Payments for Digital

As the first mobile payment provider, ATLAS Interactive introduces dynamic pricing via Web Billing in Germany, the so called Flexible Operator Billing. As of now variable amounts between 0,01 € and 30,00 € are billable, accurate to the last cent, allowing settlements of shopping carts. So far digital goods could only be billed based on rigid price points per one time transactions via Web Billing. The online game publisher Bigpoint is the first client of ATLAS Interactive to launch the Flexible Operator Billing solution.

Games publishers, publishing houses and other clients of the mobile payment specialist from Hamburg can now offer their potential end users the possibility to invoice several virtual goods or digital items up to an amount of 30 EUR per transaction via Web Billing in one shopping cart. With the Web Billing solution the end user types in his mobile phone number in a web front and receives a text message with the according PIN. This PIN is then typed into the payment window, confirming the purchase and the virtual items are unlocked immediately. Like with all other mobile payment options the total amount is invoiced via the mobile network operators (pre or post paid).

Marco Priewe, CEO of ATLAS Interactive comments on the new Flexible Operator Billing solution: „For the buying public of our clients this solution is more convenient, as several goods can be placed into a shopping cart and calmly assessed afterwards in order to complete the shopping experience with the desired goods only. On a commercial basis the solution generates higher transaction amounts and volumes which the pilot project with online game publisher Bigpoint shows. Due to the introduction of the shopping cart concept players tend to conduct the purchases of virtual goods in a more comfortable and diversified manner in comparison to the buying experience with classical one time payments.”

The integration of this flexible payment option via Web Billing is available on ATLAS Interactive’s all-in-one payment platform kanzaloo™ as well as via direct integration into the clients’ in-house front end. Currently the solution is available in Germany, further European markets will be added shortly by the payment specialist.
